Hey there, Wonderful people of the world!

From time to time everyone feels down about something in there life. It is only normal and besides if you were always happy and everything good happened to you, then you would not appreciate the good things so much that happen and you would lose that feeling of happy and joy.

So here are a few things that I do to get myself feeling happy and back to feeling like me again.

  • Listen to music - I would suggest something upbeat and fun as you are trying to make yourself feel better not worse! So put your favourite upbeat songs on and dance and sing like no one is watching.

  • Get out and about -Go for a walk somewhere get some fresh air, go somewhere maybe invite some friends to go with you. This always makes me feel better. It's the simple things in life.

  • Plan to do Something- It doesn't really matter what it is, as long as you have something to look forward to in the future, it could be the end of the week or a couple of days time or end of the month or even something later the same day. Just go and do something this can also be a good time to catch up with your friends or family.

  • Make time for things that make you feel good - Again doesn't matter what it is just do something that makes you feel good, never mind how silly it is as long as it makes you feel good and doesn't hurt anyone else.

  • Most importantly THINK POSITIVLY!!!- This is one of the most important ones, so take it seriously! If you think positively then you feel better and happy and more relaxed and possibly more confident in yourself. Lets face it negative thoughts only bring you down and can be hard to get away from once you start heading down that path.

Let me know how you get yourself out of a funk and into a happy more positive mood. I would love to hear them. Remember say no to negative thoughts

As always
Best wishes

Hi there everyone and every body! (see what I did there!)

Today I am going to say my take on the whole body image thing that seems to keep going around This will be strictly my option and my take on the whole issue. Feel 100% free to leave your options, comments or whatever in the comment section I look forward to reading them.

To put it simply I believe as long as you are happy and are healthy then what does it matter what other people think of your body it is not their body to worry about maybe they should go back and worry about themselves rather then worry about someone else. Don't get me wrong it is nice that they care about you and the way you look, but surely if your happy with it and are healthy then what is the problem? seriously.

Myself I like the fact that I have scars. I'm not ashamed of them (to be honest half the time I don't even think about them.) they remind me of what I have been through and how strong I can be plus there are a lot more important thing I have to think of  such as paying bills! They also tell the story of my life they are unique to me as I have more then one, but even if I did have only one no two scars are the same and the meaning of that scar could be two completely different things.

I guess I look at them in a positive way they are part of me part of who I am they are nothing to be ashamed of rather more in my mind something to be proud of and what if they make an appearance once in a while who cares no one should.

Nobody's bodies are exactly the same never mind how much you wish for it your body I never going to be the same as someone else's and the media certainly does not help with the whole body image issues you just have to find the beauty of yourself and except who you are and what you looks like. It won't be easy and it won't be quick it will take some time and soul searching, but it will be 100% worth it in the end .

Hello There Readers

I thought it would be good that today's post would be about improving your mood as from time to time, everyone has bad mood, or feeling a bit down or stressed out in life. It's only human to feel these things and healthy to, but some times you just get fed up of feeling like this or just want to feel better.

So as I have been feeling a little up and down emotionally lately, I thought it would be helpful to share some helpful (or hopefully helpful) tips on boosting or improving your mood. Which like most things in life is down to you.

So here goes:
  • Give someone a compliment
This will help you feel better about yourself as well as making someone else feel good about them self. So your just spreading the love and happiness. It's the small things that go along way in life.

  • Act how you want to feel
So the theory behind this is, if you are thinking about how down or unhappy you are the more likely you are going to feel like that (see where I am going with this). So if you think positive happy thoughts you will feel more positive or happy. Why not give it a try?

  • Think of the positives in the situation
Even in a bad situation there is always some positives to come from it. You just have to change the way you look at the situation itself, for example you may not want to go to an event with your friend/friends as that particular event does not interest you or a group of people you d not like or do not get on with will be there. Instead of looking at it like that think of it more like I may meet some interesting people there and possibly make some new friends or it might be nice to try something different out of my comfort zone or I might learn something from this or learn something about myself. This should make you look at situations in a more positive way.

  • Appreciate what you have
Think of the basic things that you have and are grateful to have for instance a roof over your head, your health, your family and friends and your job. Just remember not everyone is as lucky as you are. You may not have everything you want in life, but always take a moment to stop and think about the things you do have and be grateful that you have those things and how lucky you are. You could also make a list of things that you appreciate that you have, so you can look at it and remind yourself how lucky you are every once in a while. We tend to get lost in the big picture of things and forget to take it back to basics.

  • Talk to someone about it
This one personally helps me because it can make you feel better by just talking about it, plus the other person can have a different outlook on it and make you think more positively about the it. even give you some good advice. I often build things up in my head to be worse then they are in reality and sometimes it is just nice to know there is someone there when you need them. I am sure they will not mind listening to you as I am sure you will return the favour when they need you

I hope this helps at least one person lift there mood let me know if you like this or find it useful

Best Wishes

Hi people of the world!!!

I was have been feeling a bit anxious to today and last night/evening and I got to thinking of why I tend to get these feelings of anxiety, sometimes they can be often but other times they can come out of know where and more then likely linked to something I am unaware that I am thinking about. Which can be a bit annoying from time to time as I have no idea why I am feeling these feelings or it, it could also be I do not realise what is bothering me and when this happens there is not a lot I can do about except trying to calm myself down (not always that easy I can tell you) or try to thinking and work out what is bothering me, which can lead to more worrying which is never good. Sometimes I find It helpful talking to someone about it and how I am feeling as It is true what they say and problem shared is a problem halved, that way you can both work on easing your mind and that person can reassure you everything will be ok and there is nothing to worry about.

Other times my brain cannot stop thinking of the reason for this bout of an anxiety and no matter what I do I cannot stop thinking of it and it builds up until I can calm myself or solve the problem which can be a while trust me and can take over days if not more of my life which I personally hate but can not do anything about it sometimes other times I try everything under the sun to calm myself.

A lot of the time this is the result of my over thinking which I tend to do a lot of, I also tend to think the worse case scenarios, which then some of the time causes the anxiety in the first place or I believe it does (so you can see it is a bit of a circle here going round and round). I try to not over think things as in kicks of the whole circle going on, which then affects my daily life and my enjoyment of It in stead of enjoying every minute of my free time I end up worrying what might happen and what if it does happen then what will I do and start worrying and panicking and having anxiety. Instead I try and do some things to calm myself a resolve my way in thinking some of these ways can be these:
  •  Listening to calming music e.g. classical, relaxing sounds
  • Concentrating on breathing
  • Meditation
  • Sitting outside and listening to the sounds around me e.g. Birds singing
  • Talking to someone about it
  • Thinking positively or making a plan to deal with what ever is bothering you
  • Telling myself it is going to be ok I'm safe and It's going to be ok
These are some of the things I do to calm myself down or to stop my anxiety. I hope this helps you in some way and if you have any other ways you deal with your anxiety then feel free to share them in the comments.

best wishes
Stacey
